CE-1 : Compact Evolution One Special Editions

TAD Compact Evolution One Speaker Special Edition

"The Compact Evolution will be available as four distinct Special Edition versions. Limited to only 10 pairs of each version, these speakers combine visual and musical art into a truly unique experience. "

JAPANESE URUSHI: TAD-CE1MK-UN and TAD-CE1MW US

Japanese lacquer, or urushi, has a history dating back more than 9,000 years. The Japanese urushi Compact Evolution Special Edition side panels possess an image of "Traditional Japanese" art and is produced by the urushi lacquer artists at the Duco Corporation. The creation of urushi art is an intensive and demanding process that involves more than two dozen steps. Skilled artists apply lacquer and silver foil (Gin-paku) onto a thick acrylic fiber panel. As more layers of lacquer and silver foil is added, a unique pattern is formed naturally. Each layer of lacquer and silver foil reflects light differently, providing an organic, living work of art. "Unlike a painting, Urushi art doesn't have a clear intention or pattern and therefore, raises the visual sensitivity and interpretation of the viewer, very similar to the musical interpretation provided by the TAD speaker, explains Ms. Kazuko Watanabe, President of the Duco Corporation.

CREATIVE ALUMINUM: TAD-CE1MW-NW and TAD-CE1MK-NK

Neal Feay Studio is the global leader in creative aluminum with over 60 years experience in cutting edge manufacturing technology and design. For the Compact Evolution Special Edition side panels, Neal Feay Studio has created a distinctive modern European image following the architectural art created on behalf of Louis Vuitton 1 . A unique, non-uniform geometric pattern creates shadows of an organic design, both capturing and reflecting light to stimulate the visual senses.
